Precisely because we understand the environment we operate in, we fully understand that responses must always be prompt and thorough. Our assistance is available 24 hours a day, 365 days a year. We are always available to provide additional assistance when unexpectedly required, assist the shipboard when needed, solve a technical problem or communication failure when there is a crew change on board.
Focus on Logistics
To ensure the highest operational level at all times, we choose products that can be digitally updated remotely without costly shipping via DHL or other couriers.
We provide the necessary hardware on the control bridge, which is pre-configured and activated using the products chosen by the customer. We use the latest software to connect remotely to the customer’s computer and be able to provide assistance whenever required.
We often take care of the product installation directly on board, ensuring that the installation coincides with familiarisation for the officers on board.
Our staff, made up of former deck officers, are in constant contact with the main distributors of ECDIS (Electronic Chart Display and Information System) equipment and with the manufacturers of digital navigation software in order to keep abreast of market trends and the release of new solutions.
We attend the main trade fairs to evaluate, and possibly predict, the latest solutions offered by the various players in the market; we always test major updates and beta releases so that we are ever prepared and can decide whether or not to include the updates in the range of solutions offered in our portfolio.
C&C Marine e-Navigation Division collaborates on a daily basis with the Accademia Italiana della Marina Mercantile (Italian Merchant Shipping Academy) Ente Radar and CMA/LITAV for reciprocal updates on training techniques sanctioned by the IMO (International Maritime Organization) and STCW (Standards of Training, Certification and Watchkeeping for Seafarers).
Our staff have all the necessary certifications to deliver familiarisation courses on our commercial products, which they are able to organise at either our premises, on board or at the shipowners’ premises in order to train both onboard and shore-based operational staff.
We have commercial and technical agreements with the Istituto Idrografico della Marina (Navy Hydrographic Office) the Accademia Italiana della Marina Mercantile (Italian Merchant Shipping Academy), Ente Radar, Navimeteo and CMA/Litav for reciprocal technical and regulatory updates. We believe very strongly in this kind of collaboration which allows for ongoing staff development at all levels.
